NDIS Basics

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian government program that provides funding and support to people with permanent and significant disabilities. It is designed to help participants achieve their goals, increase their independence, and participate in their communities.

You may be eligible if you are under 65 years old, are an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and have a permanent disability that significantly affects your ability to take part in everyday activities. We can help you understand the eligibility criteria and guide you through the application process.

To apply, you need to contact the NDIS on 1800 800 110 or visit the NDIS website to make an access request. You will need to provide evidence of your disability. Our Support Coordinators can assist you with gathering the right documentation and completing your application.

NDIS funding can be used for supports and services that help you achieve your goals. This includes daily living assistance, community participation, capacity building, support coordination, therapeutic services, and home modifications. The funding must be reasonable and necessary.
